McLean Day 2018 celebrates its 103rd year! This is a great event filled with family fun and entertainment.
McLean Day is an annual event put on by the McLean Community Center. Special Events Manager Catherine Nesbitt tells more.
What will McLean Day feature this year? New this year is the “Large Ride Preview!” on Friday. Participants can come and enjoy the large carnival rides on Friday, May 18 from 2-7 p.m. Ride prices vary.
Also this year, the children’s featured hits will be the petting zoo, the large and small rides, the children’s stage and main stage, the super-sized laser tag, bubble ball, rock climbing wall, tennis games and the balloon twisters.
Is this the largest annual event in McLean? Yes, McLean Day is the largest event in McLean, attracting an average of 13,000 participants.
What does McLean Day mean to the community? McLean Day is a long-standing tradition of more than 100 years, bringing the community together for a fun, family-friendly festival of rides, entertainment, games, with food trucks and local businesses’ and organizations’ exhibitor booths.
Musical Performance Highlight
One live performance not to miss is Still Surfin', a professional Beach Boys Tribute Band that has been performing the music of the Beach Boys for more than 17 years. More about Still Surfin' at http://www.stillsurfin.com.
