USEFUL INFORMATION ABOUT ONE OF THE DC AREA'S MOST BEAUTIFUL, DYNAMIC NEIGHBORHOODS

6014 Chesterbrook Rd McLean - A Polished Gem

As you ascend the horseshoe driveway entrance to this special home of Chesterbrook Woods and its lovely manicured lot and retaining walls, you realize the property has a nice private feel and special features.

The grand and stately colonial is a 4 bedroom, 4 bath with gleaming hardwoods throughout.  The living room has wonderful natural light, as does the bright sunroom directly off of the family room.  The property sits on .46 of an acre with manicured gardens and stonework throughout the front and rear gardens.  The patio and back yard is a quiet retreat from the city bustle and makes a special place for its next owner.

Jenny McClintock of HBC Group Keller Williams says the owners were the original owners from 1976 when the home was bought as a spec home.  They had moved their family from Tuscon, Arizona as he was taking a job in Washington, DC as a Senator.  This special home has been cared for and well looked after.  Jenny says the lady of the house loved closet space, which is reflected in the bedrooms' additional closet space.

The circular driveway is a great asset for Chesterbrook Road.  Additionally, in the neighborhood there was been word about the installing of sidewalks along Chesterbrook Road.  We put the information from Supervisor Foust's office below regarding the sidewalks.

Major updates to the home include the renovation of the kitchen with all new stainless steel appliances and two fully updated bathrooms.  The picturesque backyard is a not to be missed feature with two levels of brick patio and retaining stone walls.

6014 Chesterbrook Rd McLean will be open Saturday, 13th and Sunday, April 14th from 1-4 PM.

Chesterbrook Woods Neighborhood is a wonderful place to live.  It boasts a short 2-light commute to Washington, DC via the Chain Bridge, top rated schools and easy access to superior shopping, dining and entertainment in our Nation’s Capital.

Regarding the installation of sidewalks on Chesterbrook Road, the following information is from Supervisor Foust's office:

The following are details about the underway and planned projects for Chesterbrook Road. Each of the projects is fully funded, but the schedules, especially for the second two are tentative. Regarding sidewalk in the section of 6014 Chesterbrook Road, construction likely wouldn’t begin before 2021 but being that scoping hasn’t even begun yet, most of the County’s materials still list the construction dates as “TBD.”
