2020 School Year E-Learning and Community Activities

This new school year we are tasked with many new opportunities during these challenging times.  This includes E-Learning and supplemental learning, homeschool while also striving to keep our children active, engaged and inspired.  

Our local community offers enrichment in virtual or social distant platforms that are worthy of marking on the calendar and registering!

McLean Community Center continues to offer an excellent range of clubs and activities.  

Body Moves Fitness is leading classes outside at the community center including Boot Camp, Tai Chi & Qigong and Abs & Glutes.  Sign up is at the website.  

T-Ball starts September 22nd, led by Christian Hayes.

Music Together - Tailgate Verson is on Wednesdays with different times available.

The Knitting Circle via Zoom.  With Julie Thatcher, this engaging class will teach you how to knit, offer advice for a project ongoing and offer socializing with other knitters.  Begins September 10th.

Virtual Learning Resources - 

Outschool is an online community offering online classes and camps for children ages 3-18.  Led by passionate teachers, classes begin from $10 and there is an extensive selection in almost every category of learning.  Classes range from ongoing to one-time course.  https://outschool.com/

Khan Academy is an extensive online learning resource for parents, teachers and children spanning Pre-K resources to college, SAT Prep, grammar, and more.  https://www.khanacademy.org/

Outdoor Activity

Great Falls Park - Hiking trails and overlooks are open.  Check their website for updated guidelines when planning a visit. https://www.nps.gov/grfa/index.htm

Rebecca Webb is a long time friend and colleague of Lizzy Conroy. Rebecca works in the capacity of marketing and business development, writing and social media. Before working with Lizzy in the real estate field, Rebecca worked on Lizzy's Leukemia and Lymphoma Man and Woman of the Year Campaign Team, helping the hard working team win both the local and national championship. Additionally in their past partnerships, Rebecca worked with Lizzy in business development of US partnerships on behalf of The English Manner, a British Etiquette and Luxury Travel company under the leadership of UK-Partner Alexandra Messervy and US-partner Genie Ford.
A busy mother of six children, Rebecca enjoys the brain-break of marketing and writing. At University, Rebecca received her undergraduate degree in English with a minor in Spanish from George Mason University. Her Spanish minor took her degree studies to Seville and Madrid, with a heritage nod to her ancestors from Valencia. Rebecca's love of travel extends to her Australian husband and their multicultural family life and extended family abroad.
