Cozy neighborhood vibe at Frankie’s
We stopped in on a Sunday evening to Frankie’s. The Virginia is for Lovers cocktail was so nice, with an oversized dragon fruit ice block dusted with gold flakes. The pizza oven at the back started working overtime as the youth basketball game tables filled up. With the U-shaped bar filled, it quickly felt as though there was no Monday in sight at this neighborhood stop.
Salmon Skewers at Frankie’s
Excellent appetizers were in order. The fresh sourdough bread was enough to soak up the sweet tomato topping from the shrimp appetizer. The slaw with the salmon skewers was one that you wanted to raise your hand and ask for a refill. The only sophisticated thing to do was finish it with a glass of Montepulciano. Sadly, Monday was on its way for us. We will return to Frankie’s.
