Chesterbrook Woods continues to be one of the most desirable neighborhoods in McLean.  Year-to-date there have been 17 sales, ranging in price from $1,500,000 for a .25-acre lot to $5,250,000 for a new construction home.  Nearly 1/3 of the sales are new construction homes.  With 28 sales last year, the number of sales for 2024 is lagging because inventory in our neighborhood continues to be historically low.  

The real estate market moves up and down, but the fundamentals remain strong for Chesterbrook Woods. Demand outpaces supply which benefits those looking to sell.  New build pricing continues to climb because land values are rising.  A third acre can now command upwards of $1.550.  And, many of the new builds are now asking and getting $4.0m+.  Once the election passes and the inauguration approaches, we anticipate a strong start of the 2025 market in late January.
