Selling During the Holidays

Does it sound like a contradiction to sell your home in the middle of the busy holiday season?

Surprising as it may be, selling during the holiday season is still a great time to put the house on the market.  In fact, with the season of refinery and “Decking the Halls” your home may well look it’s loveliest at this time of year, offering home watchers all the more to get warm and fuzzy about.

Follow a few tips of advice and get your home sold during the cheerful season.

Great Agent – Depend on a reliable agent who is well versed with navigating a holiday time listing.

Motivated Buyers – Buyers who commit to home shopping at this time of year are often serious about purchasing.

Right price – The right home price will draw out the motivated buyers.

Home Staging – Stage the home so it dresses up elegant and clear of clutter.

Decorate – Your home will look wonderful with a few simple decorations, a great time to show it off.  Put a holiday touch on the mantel, console, and a wreath on the front door.

Curb appeal – Curb appeal is king with a holiday listing.  The advantage is in your favor as families already look and admire other homes during the holidays with the lights, decorations and homes done up in seasonal fashion.  What better way to grab attention with a “For Sale” sign in the yard.

A warm open house – When planning an open house, warm up the home and ignite the feeling of cozy, turn on the fire, light a holiday candle, put warming spices on the stove, place a cozy blanket in the living room and invite the real feel of coming home to a warm and cozy place.

Photos of spring and fall.  Have photos of the home in different seasons ready in a small album, so that the home buyer can see photos of the property in the spring and fall.
